Tallinnas/ In Tallinn 15.02.2009

*So, in Tallinn again.Kind of getting used to that, or not? This time I had in plans to go to the mess & dog show...Nothing new? Well, actually the whole day was a sequence of blummers-first I sat to the wrong trolley, then in the bus basically used a wrong ticket & finally I got stuck in the elevator-At least I had fun!!!

*Vaade Tallinna sadamale.

*View to harbor of Tallinn.
*"Russalka".

*The statue "Russalka".It's dedicated to the ship called "Russalka" that sank in the Finnish Gulf in 1893.Legend says that the cross in the hand of the woman is pointed to the location where the ship sank.
*Maarjamäe memoriaal.

*Maarjamäe memorial park.

*Talvine Soome laht.

*Wintry Finnish Gulf.

*Lauluväljak.Siin toimus koertenäitus.

*Song field. In the rooms of this building took place the dog show.

*Minu suur armstus- iiri hundikoerad.

*My big love- Irish Wolfhounds.

*Siiamaani näitustel nähtud iiri hundikoertest vast kõige impossantsem.

*From the Irish Wolfhounds that I've seen on dog shows, this is so far the most impressive.

*Sometimes the relations between a dog & a human make me wonder.:)

*Norra lunnikoer.Tähelepanu varvastele, selline varvaste asetus on omale ainult sellele tõule.

*Norwegian Buffin Dog.Attention to the toes, this kind of placement of toes is characteristic to this beed.

*Tallinna vanalinn ja üks selle paljudest käikudest.

*Old Town of Tallinn & one of the many courses it has.

*Stenbocki maja.

*Stenbock house. This is where our government is located.

*Noh, eestlased, tunnete ära?...Miljonipeldik;)

*Some amusment.Just next to the parliament & government is located this tiny buiding called "Toilet of million".Years ago it was built for a lot of money, more than a million kroons but it doesn't work correctly & I haven't seen anybody using it:).So it has become kind of symbol of stupidity:).

Toris/ In Tori 06.02.2009

*Do I live in Tori parish or not but to this town I get rarely:).Actually I have to think when was the last time...Mhmmm...Somehow I think it wasn't in this year's number & I wouldn't be surprised if it was about half year ago...Well, when I drive somewhere I often pass it but it's not the same...So, it doesn't really matter that some place is only 10 km away, still as far as Africa:). After some time I had a chance to go to Tori & I decided to look around with the glance of the stranger...And you know what?It was interesting, though the town is small & some probably think it's basically more dead than alive, I had quite interesting time for couple of hours. And there were some places I didn't go...So enjoy the little I've got for you!

*Pildil lehe alguses ja samuti neljal ülemisel pildil on Torile kõige iseloomulikum vaade...Liivakivi paljand Pärnu jõe kaldal ja kuulus Tori põrgu .

*On the photo on the top of the blog & the 4 photos above have the most typical sight to Tori...Sandstone cliff on the bank of Pärnu river & the famous Tori põrgu (the Hell of Tori...caves in where old times people believed was the entrance to the hell).

*There are a lot of statues in the world- one is better than the other, but none of them can match this one...Statue of Devil by Tori põrgu.

*Vana kõrtsihoone.

*Old tavern house.

*Need kolm pilti üleval on vaated Tori kirikule ja Püha Jüri kujule (kes on kiriku kaitsepühak).

*These 3 photos above are the views to the Tori church & to the statue of St. George (the patron saint of the church).

*Mille poolest on Tori veel kuulus? Tori hobune...Peasissekäik hobusekasvatusse.

*What more Tori has that people know?Tori horse breed...Main entrance to the studfarm.

*Üleval ja all. Paeasissekäik surnuaiale.

*Above & below.Main entrance to the grave yard.

*Eesti surnuaiad näevad paljuski välja kui metsad. Poleks riste, ei oleks vist palju vahet.

*Grave yards in Estonia look a lot like forests. If there weren't any crosses there wouldn't be much diffenece.

*Minu emapoolse vanaema haud.

*The grave of my grandmother from mother's side.
